Quebec Health Care
The Canadian law enforces that all legal residents of the country must be provided basic healthcare services at no direct cost to the patient. This means that the province must bear the cost of all necessary healthcare facilities for its ordinary citizens.
The Quebec healthcare plan also covers the cost for almost all necessary medical services for all its citizens. This covers the cost for services such as medical examinations, doctor consultation, hospital care, and emergency operation.
Certain services which are deemed as elective are not covered under this policy, and one has to bear the cost of them from his own pocket. These include cosmetic surgery and certain dental procedures which are not deemed as necessary. The cost of these services will further vary as one moves from city to city.
